Description
Positive thinking is the key to feeling in control and at our best, yet negative self-talk is a fact of life for many, particularly when faced with challenging or high-pressured situations.
Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Some of your self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talk may arise from misconceptions that you create because of lack of information or expectations due to preconceived ideas of what may happen.
Supporting people to develop greater understanding of their mind-traps and to reframe negativity will enable them to act with conscious choice to make a positive and meaningful impact.
